Eligibility:
Junior BSPR members (radiology trainees and fellows, foundation doctors, allied health professionals, medical students are all applicable). Must have active membership for the year they are applying/conference happening.

Intended Use:
To support relevant costs for presenting original scientific work related to paediatric or fetal radiology at BSPR, ESPR, SPR, RSNA or ECR. The bursary can be used for both virtual and live meeting expenses dependent on the conference and circumstances, although live meetings will be prioritised for funding.
Applications:
Applications will should be made via email to [email protected] using the application form below . There will be a biannual application for 1st November and 1st May (whichever is before the intended conference for travel). The deadline for submissions will be a month later.
Applications to include:
- The attached application form (with copy of accepted abstract for meeting)
- Confirmation of acceptance of abstract by the meeting organisers (if unknown at time of deadline, then please provide a copy of confirmation of the submitted abstract)
- Applicant C.V.
- Letter of support from research supervisor/referee on the project, or head of department where applicable.
Please ensure that the documents you upload can be easily blinded / anonymised for the evaluation process. Use Office Word doc files where possible (as opposed to pdf). If screenshots are being sent as confirmation of abstract acceptance, please provide both an identifiable and a blinded / anonymised version, which should be otherwise identical.
Application process:
- The Bursaries will be competitive, and applications evaluated objectively by members of the executive committee (and potentially external expert reviewers if any conflicts of interest)
- Applications should be prospective (prior to the conference), although payment of funds will be provided after the lecture has been delivered and require receipts.
- Previously successful applicants may not apply again.
- The bursary will be used to fund one applicant for one of the conferences.
- Acknowledgement of BSPR, including use of the BSPR logo in an acknowledgment slide or on the poster, is a condition of the Bursary.
- Details of the successful applicant will be posted on the website thereafter.
- Claims should be made within 6 months of the meeting and made to the BSPR treasurer.
- The number of bursaries awarded per round will be decided by the BSPR executive committee dependent on number of applications received that year.
