Who are we and what do we do?
Dr Joanna Kaznia-Brown - President
Jo is a Consultant Radiologist in the Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust since 2009, and was trained at Bristol, in Radiology and Surgery.
'I work in a large district general hospital and specialise in MRI imaging, including oncology and functional imaging for both adults and children. Paediatric work constitutes around 40% of my clinical activities. Passionate about MRI imaging, I was a co-founder of the MRI group within the BSPR; working to implement optimisation and standardisation of paediatric imaging protocols. I am actively involved in developing an international strategy within the College and chair the RCR International Committee. In my spare time, I help developing imaging guidelines for the UN and IAEA and look after my family'.

I am one of 7 dedicated paediatric radiologists at Leeds Children’s Hospital where I have practiced since 2006. Working in a busy tertiary centre, I undertake all aspects of paediatric imaging. My subspecialty interests include paediatric musculoskeletal imaging and gastrointestinal imaging. I particularly value ultrasound as a diagnostic tool and I run the annual Leeds Paediatric Ultrasound course to promote it'.

It is important for us to work hard at promoting our subspecialty and provide support to our colleagues'.
