Dear All,
No doubt, it was a challenge to organize the 3rd Baltic Congress of Paediatric Radiology, especially taking into account that only one year passed after the Baltic Congress of Radiology that took place in Tallinn, Estonia.
On this occasion first of all I would like to thank our local organizing and scientific committees, especially my colleagues and friends from Vilnius – Artūras Samuilis and Irina Adomaitienė – actually it was their idea to take this challenge to organize the Congress. Also my greatest respect to all our colleagues and friends from Latvia and Estonia, especially – Pilvi Ilves, Mare Lintrop and Ilze Apine.
My special compliments to our partners and friends from European Society of Pediatric Radiology (ESPR) – Joanna Kasznia-Brown and Erich Sorantin – for their open-mindness, new ideas and personal support, as well as assistance from the ESPR.
Our best regards to all our local and international partner organizations – we have so many partners this time.
I hope that you will enjoy the lectures and presentations, I am sure you will meet your old friends and make the new ones. The Congress must serve as an important push to promote paediatric radiology among the young generation of radiologists. Thanks to the European Federation of Societies for UItrasound in Medicine and Biology (EFSUMB) we have the opportunity to combine the Congress with the dedicated Euroson School and take the advantages of School of Paediatric Ultrasound.
In the name of the organizers of the 3rd Baltic Congress of Paediatric Radiology I am especially thankful to our industry partners, for their support of all possible kinds – despite challenging situation in the international market they recalled to our requests and backed-up the Congress.
And please, take your time, look around and admire our old capital Vilnius, which is celebrating the 700th anniversary this year.
Saulius Lukosevicius
President of the 3rd Baltic Congress of Paediatric Radiology,
