Application is open for a one year Fellowship in Paediatric Interventional Radiology at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children
Application closes 30th April
Clinical Fellow (Equivalent of ST5+) in Paediatric Interventional Radiology
Applications are invited for a 1-year Paediatric Interventional Radiology (PIR) fellowship within the Interventional Radiology (IR) department at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. This post is suitable for a ST5, or equivalent trainee, or someone looking to gain additional experience before taking up a consultant appointment.
This post is available to ST5+ trainees (or equivalent) with an interest in Paediatric Interventional Radiology (PIR) and ideally for trainees who have completed the FRCR examination (or equivalent). This post provides a unique opportunity to gain experience in the full spectrum of PIR procedures including both vascular and non-vascular interventions. There is also the potential to gain exposure to Paediatric Neurointerventional Radiology procedures. Training is supervised by a Consultant PIR in a one-to-one fashion.
Although some experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) is desirable, it is not essential, and it is acknowledged that successful applicants may have little experience in paediatric subspecialty cases.
We are open to discussions about converting this to a shorter training period if that is a better fit for the applicant. Please call Dr Sam Chippington +447747791393 or Dr Alex Barnacle +447810792517 to talk it through.
